When I saw this 70s inspired bohemian bridal collection hit my inbox, I instantly fell in love with the free-spirited style and design. Elodie Courtat, designer and creator of Ofildelo, was inspired by 70’s fashion and created a collection.
The combination of hippy vibes and traditional elegance of a wedding dress keeps the collection fresh and contemporary! Perfect for the 2018 modern bohemian bride.
“The 70s represent a time when everything seemed possible, where the future belonged to dreamers and the daring, where fashion was a state of mind more than a style.” – Elodie Courtat
It’s this idea of freedom and emancipation that inspired Elodie to create a collection that’s off the beaten track and something different for the altnerative bride. Designs made for women aspiring to be free to choose, to wear whatever they desire, regardless of what fashion – never mind bridal fashion! – dictates.
“Light, uninhibited, assertive and relaxed. This is the inspiration for this new collection that includes emblematic pieces of the 70’s period.” – Elodie
Designed in France, Elodie’s dresses are entirely designed in her workshop, with the love of French savoir-faire and craftsmanship using a variety of materials such as wool, cotton, mohair.
Elodie loves using one particular technique – crocheting – a popular textile technique in the 1970s. This technique is reinvented in her bohemian bridal collection with elegant shawls adapted to suit the modern bride.
The collection is also complemented by a series of crocheted accessories.
