Trunk Shows – What are they and what to expect at a Hayley Paige Trunk Show? If you’re one of those bride’s who always wonders if you’re missing out on something, if you’ve seen all the options. Another dress, designer or boutique you should tick off the list; just to be sure, before saying yes to the dress. Then trunk shows are for you! If you’re a Hayley Paige Bride, then you’ll definitely want to keep reading!
Hayley Paige is one of my absolute favourite bridal designers. She perfectly captures ethereal, whimsical, boho-chic, boho-luxe within her collections, and had a blue
horse unicorn at her wedding! What’s more to love?! With a stunning new collection for Spring 2018, Hayley’s got some trunk shows coming up and here’s what to expect.
1. Tonnes of Flavours
Hayley Paige Trunk Shows are held at various bridal boutiques throughout the USA and internationally. These trunk shows have the largest assortment of dresses from her bridal collection. Typically ones straight off the runway, or “best of” collections, and dresses that aren’t normally stocked in stores.
Top Tip: Call the store before hand to find out which collection they’re highlighting and what gowns they will have. I’ve got all the details of upcoming trunk shows at the end of the post.
2. First Dibs
When you attend one of these trunk shows, especially if it’s a new season trunk show. You’re getting first dibs, a first look at the collection, straight off the runway. Months before they arrive in store, which can sometimes take up to six months. Hayley reminds brides that her trunk show dresses are all sample sizes so if they don’t fit, keep in mind, “It’s not you, it’s them.” – Hayley Paige
3. Jetlagged Dresses
Hayley’s dresses are shipped all around the States and around the world. So they’re not impervious to a little jetlag. There may be some rips, wear and tear on sample dresses at trunk shows. But know that if you say yes to the dress, your dress will be made to order, made to perfection and made for you.
4. Early Bird
As the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm. Because these are the newest gowns, you will need to allow for a longer period of time to receive your dress, if you purchase it at one of these trunk shows. Shop at least eight months in advance. On occasion, Hayley can accommodate rush orders, and there will often be a charge. Some dresses aren’t available in a certain time frame, but it depends on the dress.
5. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Okay, not actual Santa Claus. But even better, Miss Hayley Paige herself! Not every trunk show is an event for gowns only. Sometimes it’s a designer appearance as well, which means Hayley will be there too. Check her Instagram, or on the website to see which trunk shows also have designer appearances. I’ve listed her upcoming trunk shows at the end of this post.
6. Discount Double Check
Typically trunk shows offer discounts across the gowns, orchestrated by the store and design incentives. For example, Hayley’s trunk show at Kleinfeld Bridal, New York, March 9th – 11th (which is also a designer appearance, so Hayley will be there too) has a design incentive where you can swap bodices and skirts. So if you like the body of one design, but the skirt of another, you can swap them to create the dress of your dreams!
7. Push it. Push it Real Good
Try on something totally unexpected. Even if you’ve got your heart set on one style, Hayley dares you to try something out of the box. Some dresses don’t have a great hanger appeal, but really come to life when it’s on your body. So you make the magic happen! Try on the dresses you would least expect to go for.
